Job Description


The Web Technologist role is to maintain and extend various web applications as needed to meet business requirements of the organization. This individual will create and configure application modules during development; configure and maintain commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization; and work with external third parties as necessary.

This position will provide application management and support for the company’s corporate web presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving issues, setup and configuration, general usability, appearance and maintenance, extending application capabilities, and for the creation of collateral knowledge content. This person will play a central role in the core system implementation requiring the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals to translate their needs, ideas, or suggestions into logical solutions that meet their objectives. The successful candidate will also be expected to analyze, effectively communicate, and resolve problems while applying standard principles of ITIL issue & enhancement tracking. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Episerver best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.
This position will report to the Senior Manager of Front Office Solutions Delivery and will interact at levels that vary from senior management to individual contributors within cross-functional teams throughout the organization including, but not limited to: Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, Professional Services, Research & Development, and Customer Care.

  • Episerver development and support – including but not limited to creation and analysis of templates, providing code to meet complex needs, management of deployments and deployment life cycle.
  • WordPress environment support – provide guidance on architecture, evaluate change request, identify solutions to meet requirements, and execute deployment of changes.
  • Use best practices for overall solutions and code development.
  • Conduct Real-time troubleshooting and drive resolution of issues relating corporate web and blog sites.
  • Be Point of contact for Episerver and other vendors.
  • Give input and direction to peers regarding HTML development and troubleshooting.
  • Complete evaluations for upcoming Episerver releases and provide implementation benefit and impact analysis.
  • Liaison with IT infrastructure team helping to identify and resolve issues with connectivity or server architecture.
  • Collaborate to fulfill web site-related Marketing requests by participating in weekly status calls with updates and discussions on next steps
  • Act as Technical liaison with outside vendors, working jointly on Episerver platform needs and special projects.
  • Collect and provide documented requirements for initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to marketing team and other business users.
  • Log and track system problems through resolution within ticketing system.
  • Document & publish knowledge articles describing application configuration and functionality by collaborating with those involved in the development of program enhancements and changes including program staff, developers, management, and/or outside consultants as needed.
  • Communicate changes in process and application behavior to users.
  • Primary technical lead on Aspect Via chat implementation – includes coding, integration development, testing, support, troubleshooting and resolving of issues.


  • Has hands on experience with web site development and support for mid-size global implementations with integrations to other applications including telephony, chat and external databases.
  • Experience utilizing API and end point integration methodologies as both a publisher and consumer.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate complex information to business functional staff and management.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Professional demeanor to maintain and enhance relationships.
  • Independently handles complex aspects of position, such as leading or training cross functional teams on IT delivered projects and enhancements.
  • Apply evaluation skills in a manner that ensures changes do not negatively impact overall implementation.
  • Ability to use professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways with attention to detail and user experience.
  • Deliver assignments with limited direction from direct management.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems where analyses of situations or data require an in-depth evaluation of various factors with the frequent use of creativity.
  • Ability to exercise and demonstrate good judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting appropriate methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Exercise awareness of intellectual property, PCI, PII and all other security concerns to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
  • Development and support of Microsoft Sharepoint environments and sites a plus.
  • Integration development and support experience with Cybersource, AWS Marketplace or other order/payment processing vendors a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience using Remedyforce ticket tracking & Knowledgebase system a plus.

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years Episerver administration experience.
  • Knowledge and applied use of WordPress.
  • Ability to balance technical skills with business savvy and know how to transform end-user needs into technical and functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise and solution level architectural designs which include integrations with other systems.
  • Proven experience in web site design and development, supporting cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, and hybrid deployments that use both of agile & waterfall.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
  • Substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. with experience leadership role experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Development and/or configuration experience using ALL the following [HTML, PhP, JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Java, ASP, SQL, IIS, JSON] a MUST, with various C language programing a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Work schedule will include non-standard hours.
  • Excellent practical use of the Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, Visio.
  • Experience working in the software or telecom industry a plus.
